realReadBytes

public int realReadBytes(byte[] cbuf,
                         int off,
                         int len)
                  throws java.io.IOException

Read new bytes ( usually the internal conversion buffer ). The implementation is allowed to ignore the parameters, and mutate the chunk if it wishes to implement its own buffering.
